Damage Done by Recent Bushfires in Australia
I am a resident of Australia working over there as a professional local electrician. Recent bushfires has brought about a major damage to various parts of our
country.
There are several reasons behind the bushfires that are occurring every
year in Australia. Usually, the climate of this continent remains hot and dry;
therefore, it is prone to drought.
The warm and arid climatic condition
prevailing here often triggers bushfires. People call Australia a fire
continent due to frequent natural fire incidents.
The worst bushfires in Australia were given specific names like Red Tuesday
in 1898, Ash Black Christmas in 2001, Black Saturday in 2009, etc.
Australia and bushfires are not new. They are old acquaintances. But,
recent natural bushfire event was devastating.
On Tuesday, the New South Wales (NSW) officials reported that bushfires had
claimed 1,588 homes. Approximately, 200 houses are destroyed in victoria and
its neighboring regions. These fires were damaging and more terrifying than
ever.
According to the report of country fire services, the bushfire is
challenging to control, and it is still growing more. Also, they said that the
alarming temperature of Australia is another primary concern.
The bushfire has
also affected the unique wildlife of this island. The recent rain has brought
some relief to the firefighters who are tackling the blazes.
